Your First Head Spa: What to Expect and How to Prepare
Quick answer
For your first head spa, fill out the intake form ahead of time and arrive with dry hair and clean, makeup-free skin. Your visit starts with a scalp analysis, moves through exfoliation, a steam mask, the water tunnel, and massage, and ends with an included 10-minute express light blow-out so you can go straight back to your day.
Before you arrive
- Fill out the intake form. It helps me understand your skincare routine, scalp concerns, and any sensitivities. Open the intake form.
- Come with dry hair and a clean face. No need to wash your hair right before. Skip makeup if you've booked a facial.
- Tell me about anything special. Pregnancy, extensions, recent color, or a scalp condition all change how I plan your treatment.
- Find us. We're in the Historic Calhoun Lofts at 402 N. Main Street, Suite R, in downtown Anderson.
What happens during the treatment
After a short conversation, I look at your scalp and skin with an analyzer and show you what I see on a screen. Then you lie back under a weighted, heated blanket. Your treatment moves through exfoliation, a nourishing mask under steam, the water tunnel, and a slow massage of the head, neck, and shoulders. If you've booked a facial, that comes first.
You don't need to do anything. Talk if you'd like, or rest quietly. Many guests drift off.
How you'll feel afterward
Relaxed, a little sleepy, and lighter. Your scalp will feel clean and your hair soft. At the end, we look at your scalp again together, so you can see the difference, and I'll share simple tips for between visits.
Which treatment should I book first?
The Signature Head Spa is the most popular first visit. If you'd like a facial too, choose the Combined Head Spa & Glow Facial. New customers get $10 off.
