The exact steps depend on what you book and what your skin and scalp need that day.

  1. Skin & scalp analysis

    Iryna reviews your intake form, then looks at your skin and scalp with an analyzing machine. You see the results on a high-resolution screen, and together you decide which treatments fit.

  2. Facial

    Wrapped in a weighted, heated blanket with soft light and an essential oil diffuser, you're cleansed and exfoliated before any masks are applied.

  3. Head spa

    An oil-based scalp massage and a vitamin-based biotin treatment, with the soothing water tunnel to refresh the scalp and clear buildup around follicles.

  4. Upper-body massage

    A neck and upper-body massage softens knots and tight muscles while your treatments soak in.

  5. Final analysis

    Iryna checks your skin and scalp again so you can see the change, and shares how to care for them between visits.

  6. Express blow-out

    Every head spa ends with an included 10-minute express light blow-out and go, so you leave with dry, refreshed hair, ready for the rest of your day.

Iryna James is a licensed Master Esthetician and Beauty Advisor with more than 12 years of medical and skincare experience.

Originally from Ukraine, Iryna found a second home in Anderson, where she shares her passion for beauty, wellness, and relaxation. Inspired by nature and peace, she blends luxurious facial treatments, scalp therapy, and healthy hair care with plant-based products that nourish the skin and scalp.

What is a head spa?

A head spa is a scalp-focused spa treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, nourishing masks, steam, and massage of the scalp, neck, and shoulders. It began in Japan and is now one of the most popular spa treatments in the U.S. At Aqua Therapy, every head spa is performed by a licensed Master Esthetician and starts with a scalp analysis.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Arrive with dry hair and clean, makeup-free skin. If it's your first visit, please fill out our intake form beforehand.

How long does a head spa take?

The Signature Head Spa is one hour. The Combined Head Spa & Glow Facial is 90 minutes. Massage pairings are about two hours.

Can a head spa help with hair growth?

A head spa can support a healthy scalp environment by clearing buildup and improving circulation through massage, which is the foundation for healthy-looking hair. It does not treat medical hair loss. If you're experiencing sudden or significant hair loss, see a dermatologist.

When do I pay?

You pay at your visit. eGift cards and gift certificates are welcome as payment.
